Works with no signal
GPS comes from satellites, not the mobile network. Your position, grid readout, markers and track recording all keep working offline.
Offline land navigation
Kraverse puts your own topographic map sheets on your phone and shows exactly where you are on them, with your grid reference, bearing, markers, tracks and route guidance. Everything runs on the device, far beyond mobile coverage.
Android · iPhone coming soon · Free to use
Features
Built for people who navigate from real map sheets: survey teams, guides, rangers, field crews and expeditions.
GPS comes from satellites, not the mobile network. Your position, grid readout, markers and track recording all keep working offline.
Upload map sheets as PDF files. GeoPDFs place themselves automatically. Other sheets are set up by tapping known points or typing the corner coordinates.
Your MGRS grid reference, bearing, altitude and fix accuracy stay on screen. Go to any grid reference in a couple of taps.
Drop colour-coded markers, record your track as you move, and keep everything on the phone.
Follow a route with spoken directions and off-route warnings. Plan on roads while online, or go direct to any point with no connection at all.
Your sheets belong to your account and are visible only to you. Your position, markers and tracks never leave your phone.
How it works
Download Kraverse, create your account and confirm your email with the code we send you.
Tap + and choose a map sheet PDF. It is prepared on our servers and downloaded to your phone, ready to use offline.
Open the sheet in the field. Your position, grid reference and route guidance work without any connection.
Built for the field
Kraverse reads the georeferencing in your sheets and converts between latitude/longitude and the military grid on the device.

Any map sheet you have as a PDF, up to 500 MB. GeoPDFs, which carry their own coordinates, are placed automatically. For a plain PDF you can type the corner coordinates printed on the sheet, or tap a few points whose position you know.
